“L’estate sta finendo e un anno se ne va…” nel 1985 i Righeira cantavano così. Fortunatamente la stagione estiva 2018 deve ancora decollare, anche se le calde ed elevate temperature preannunciano la voglia di staccare la spina, di rilassarsi e di godersi il mare.

Le spiagge diventeranno affollatissime e sarà difficile trovare un posto negli stabilimenti.

…e allora non facciamoci trovare impreparati; non cadiamo nel panico: COCO è l’App che ci facilita le cose e che ci rende più consapevoli del tempo che potremo perdere in lungo e in largo alla ricerca di un lettino o di un ombrellone.

Infatti, quest’applicazione consente di prenotare il proprio posto in spiaggia da qualsiasi smartphone o altro device con una connessione a Internet.

Ogni prenotazione a COCO potrà essere avviata e conclusa direttamente da casa

evitando qualsiasi altro intermediario, tralasciando lo stress della ricerca affollata in spiaggia e, soprattutto, superando quelle corse all’ultimo minuto.

COCO, il cui logo ricorda un cocco di una lontana spiaggia esotica, serve a tutto questo: essa è diventata l’App leader in Italia per le prenotazioni online dei servizi in spiaggia.

Nicola Palumbo (32 anni) e Antonio Baldassarre (27 anni) sono i soci fondatori di questa operazione che ha i presupposti di diventare col tempo un’applicazione di cui sentiremo parlare molto anche in ambito internazionale.

Infatti, i due ingegneri pugliesi hanno troncato i loro rapporti lavorativi con la multinazionale Microsoft di Milano, per la quale lavoravano, per lanciare la loro COCO, l’App che in quattro e quattro otto è stata ribattezzata la “Booking.com per le spiagge italiane”.

Con esattezza, la realtà di COCO è un marchio italiano, un landscape dai toni nostrani, un’applicazione che nasce in Italia ma che ricerca l’internazionalità.

I due imprenditori hanno rilasciato COCO nel Giugno dello scorso anno ottenendo risultati visibili nell’immediatezza:

-l’App ha registrato più di 20.000 download;

-16.000 sono stati gli iscritti ufficiali a COCO;

-2.500 persone sono state “portate al mare” dall’applicazione;

-COCO è stata premiata in Ottobre come startup più innovativa al Digital Tourism di Padova.

Per queste motivazioni, e per l’innato senso di crescita esperienziale ed imprenditoriale, Antonio Baldassarre e Nicola Palumbo si sono voluti spingere oltre lanciandosi in un equity crowdfunding per la massimizzazione del prodotto: questa volta, attraverso la raccolta fondi si è pensato di ottimizzare l’App sviluppando e progettando due nuove piattaforme digitali. Accanto a COCO BOOKING (o più semplicemente COCO) si sono creati i prototipi in via di sperimentazione di COCO BAR e di COCO GESTIONALE. Queste due nuove piattaforme web interessano da una parte i fruitori dei servizi da spiaggia, dall’altra i proprietari degli stabilimenti.

COCO BAR permette ai clienti di ordinare cibo e bevande dal proprio smartphone

direttamente dal lettino sotto l’ombrellone. Dal canto suo, COCO GESTIONALE, invece, dà la possibilità ai gestori degli stabilimenti di aumentare la propria visibilità, facendo conoscere il posto ed attrarre così migliaia di turisti per la stagione vacanziera.

Oltre alle 2 nuove piattaforme, con l’equity crowdfunding si punta a rafforzare l’applicazione in Italia e all’espansione all’estero aumentando così il numero di stabilimenti affiliati.
