Il cortometraggio La Macchina Umana di Adelmo Togliani e Simone Siragusano, con Valentina Corti protagonista nel ruolo di Gaia, è tra le proiezioni attese alla XII edizione della Festa del Cinema di Roma: il film, di genere sci-fi, è presentato in anteprima nazionale martedì 31 ottobre alle ore 17.30 all’Auditorium del MAXXI – Museo Nazionale delle Arti del XXI secolo (via Guido Reni 4/a, Roma) all’interno degli eventi della Sezione Risonanze.
La Macchina Umana è un film che riflette sui temi dell’intelligenza artificiale, quando l’evoluzione tecnico scientifica porta l’uomo verso la creazione di androidi che provano sentimenti ed emozioni, verso una mimesi completa del proprio io. E quando un robot acquisisce una sensibilità tale da soffrire come un essere umano, è da considerarsi ancora una macchina? O dovremmo porci nei suoi confronti con la stessa disponibilità che avremmo con un essere umano? Sono questi alcuni degli interrogativi etici che si pongono Gaia (Valentina Corti) e l’analista (Gianni Franco) quando si confrontano con i sentimenti e i desideri di Stefano (Adelmo Togliani), un androide che ha acquisito piena coscienza di sé.
Il corto coprodotto da Alfiere Productions è ospitato all’interno dell’evento “La Macchina Umana: progresso o trasformazione?”, un incontro presentato da Buonacultura e Accademia Togliani e realizzato in collaborazione con Festa del Cinema di Roma che offre al pubblico un ricco dibattito su etica e robotica a margine della proiezione. Tra gli ospiti alla discussione – oltre al cast del film Valentina Corti, Adelmo Togliani e Simone Siragusano – vi saranno Roberto Giacobbo (Vicedirettore di Rai 2 Programmi Divulgativi), il Prof. Achille Lucio Gaspari (Professore Emerito di Clinica Chirurgica, Roma Tor Vergata), Pierluigi Manieri (Giornalista e Critico cinematografico) e Andrea Iacomini (Portavoce UNICEF Italia). Modera Valerio Toniolo Presidente di Buonacultura che afferma: “La Macchina Umana è un film che mette a confronto la realtà umana con la tecnologia, i sentimenti umani con le macchine e i loro limiti, e che sottolinea l’importanza e la forza che questo dualismo rappresenta oggi nella lotta quotidiana tra la conquista di un futuro all’avanguardia e il valore ineludibile della vita umana e della nostra stessa esistenza”.
Adelmo Togliani, autore e regista dell’opera, aggiunge: “Con la Macchina Umana ho voluto scrivere una storia intimista attraverso gli occhi di un androide, sollevando interrogativi sul futuro che ci attende. Oggi l’uomo aspira a migliorarsi sempre di più cercando però questa realizzazione al di fuori di sé, con strumenti più o meno artificiali. Però, un giorno, un robot potrebbe prendere il posto di quell’uomo e dei suoi sentimenti, delle sue aspirazioni. Abbiamo voluto raccontare cosa davvero valga la pena proteggere del nostro essere umano: la nostra essenza”.
Conclude Valentina Corti, protagonista del corto: “Gaia, il mio personaggio, è una donna intelligente e determinata, grazie all’interazione con un androide che le mostra la bellezza e la complessità dell’essere umano si trova a dover mettere in discussione tutto ciò in cui crede. Scopre che la ricerca della perfezione conduce alla perdita degli aspetti più significativi di ogni essere umano, proprio quelle fragilità che ci rendono unici e meravigliosi.”
Il cortometraggio dopo la proiezione in anteprima alla Festa del Cinema di Roma, verrà presentato al Trieste Science+Fiction Festival e in numerosi altri festival nazionali e internazionali.
