Ospite dell’evento, al quale hanno preso parte più di 100 partecipanti, è stato Gabriele Domenichini, Head of Venture & Education in BlockchainLab, il laboratorio di ricerca su bitcoin e blockchain divenuto oramai – anche a livello internazionale – una vera e propria eccellenza nel settore della finanza di frontiera.
Tanti gli argomenti di cui si è discusso nel corso della fireside chat, una intervista su temi di attualità, etica e anche politica economica relativa alle startup moderata da Andrea Roberto Bifulco, Director della Community milanese. Massima rilevanza, nel corso della discussione, è stata data al valore etico della fiducia che è alla base della filosofia dei bitcoin e della blockchain, all’importanza della condivisione di una forte passione comune tra i membri del team per il raggiungimento dei goal (e, a tal proposito, lo stesso Domenichini appare realmente commosso quando definisce i ragazzi di BlockchainLab la sua “unica ragione” valida per continuare a lavorare in Italia).
Infine, ampio spazio è stato riservato anche alle considerazioni di Domenichini sullo stato di salute dell’ecosistema startup italiano e del venture capital, soprattutto in relazione al settore fintech: fare startup in Italia è una operazione folle proprio a causa dei numerosi adempimenti fiscali imposti dalla attuale normativa e dell’eccessiva burocrazia. “A partire dal 2011 viaggiamo in tutto il mondo – dalle Americhe all’Asia – per fare scouting delle tecnologie più’ promettenti. Non prestiamo molta attenzione ai business plan, perché siamo ad uno stadio embrionale di questa tecnologia. Ci concentriamo sulla capacità tecnologica del team e sul suo DNA. Ci piace pensare che il nostro contributo come investitori, anche se non ci dovesse essere un ritorno positivo sull’investimento in un orizzonte temporale di 5/7 anni, sia quello di supportare questi team (e anche tutto l’ecosistema) a sviluppare le idee”, ha detto Gabriele Domenichini.
Numerose le domande poste dal pubblico in sala prima dell’aperitivo di networking: segnale evidente che l’ecosistema startup milanese è pronto ad aprirsi a nuovi settori e a “dialogare” ed è animato da forte curiosità verso le novità più disruptive offerte dal mondo digital.
