Mangiare sano e stare in salute, rispettando l’ambiente

Sappiamo tutti che sarebbe opportuno alimentarci in modo sano e naturale perché di questo ne vale la nostra salute e la nostra vita, in quanto le scelte alimentari hanno oggi un impatto maggiore sull’ambiente!

Mangiamo salutare…

Sono soprattutto i giovani ad avere l’atteggiamento migliore verso un’alimentazione orientata più allo stile vegetariano o vegano. Le loro prime scelte in fatto di cibo, a differenza del passato, sembrano essere frutta e verdura seguite da latticini e legumi, e se proprio deve essere carne sarebbe carne bianca.

E proprio nel cercare di evitare al minimo l’impatto che la catena alimentare ha su tutto l’ambiente, preferiscono i cibi prodotti localmente così che possa prodursi un risparmio di energia che altrimenti verrebbe spesa nel trasporto; scelgono le carni di maiale e di pollame anziché la rossa dei bovini o degli ovini per cercare di ridurre le emissioni di gas; e utilizzano tutto ciò che dell’alimento si può riutilizzare, così da limitare gli sprechi.

Occhio al portafoglio? Oggi non più…

E’ luogo comune pensare che il mangiare in maniera sana e biologica dove l’impatto ambientale sia prossimo allo zero, sia una scelta costosa. Insomma, il vero neo sul green food. Ma una ricerca fatta in Gran Bretagna ha dimostrato assolutamente il contrario smentendo definitivamente il costo eccessivo di una dieta più salutare.

Se per alimentazione sana intendiamo una dieta basata su cibi freschi, cominciando dalla frutta e verdura, i costi scendono immediatamente. Si sa per cero che i prodotti confezionati e surgelati, o anche i piatti pronti, a confronto hanno una qualità inferiore a fronte di un prezzo maggiore. Quindi i costi aggiuntivi per seguire un’alimentazione sana sono davvero minimi e, se confrontati con i benefici a lungo termine per la salute.

Non ci sono più scuse, mangiare sano è possibile e non più oneroso.
